August 2010: Novozymes acquires Turfal, a Brazilian producer of microorganisms and supplier of sustainable solutions to the agriculture industry.
Novozymes, a global biotechnology group based in Denmark and listed on NASDAQ, has acquired Turfal as part of its strategy to expand in the sustainable agriculture market via establishing presence in selected Latin American countries.
Turfal’s microbe products stimulate crop growth, thereby enabling farmers to reduce their use of fertilizers and save money while also benefiting the environment.
