February 2021: Roca Sanitario acquires the bathroom furniture division of RGIB to HIG Capital and the Royo family, with the aim to become the world’s leading manufacturer of bathroom furniture.
Roca Sanitario acquires 75% ownership from HIG Capital and the Royo family, which will retain a minority stake and the management of the company.
Founded in 1972, RGIB is one of the main European industrial groups in the field of bathroom and shower furniture. The perimeter of the transaction includes the sale of the bathroom furniture division, which offers innovative and functional solutions on the back of a diversified portfolio of products with a multi-brand format mainly under the Royo and Elita brands.
The bathroom furniture division of RGIB operates factories in Spain and Poland, jointly with warehouses in Italy and the U.K. and strategic alliances in the Americas and Asia. In 2019, the companies within the perimeter of the transaction generated revenues in excess of € 85 million with sales in more than 60 counties.
With this transaction, Roca Sanitario aims to become the world’s leading manufacturer of bathroom furniture, reinforcing its leading position in the Spanish market.
