May 2008: Sociedad Española de Electromedicina y Calidad S.A. (Sedecal) acquires its competitor Suinsa Medical Systems, S.A. (Suinsa).
Suinsa is a Spanish company specialised in the design and assembly of radioelectric medical equipment under its own brand and for OEMs. Suinsa is also a worldwide pioneer in the development of clinical molecular imaging equipment.
The merger of both companies will result in the leading player in the Spanish market with joint sales of €120 million in 2007.
