July 2015: Aberdeen Infrastructure, an investment fund based in the Netherlands, completes the acquisition of Globalvía’s 33% equity stake in the concession for all non-medical / facility management services of Hospital Universitario Son Espases, located in Palma de Mallorca.
Globalvía is a worldwide concession management leader ranked among the first positions by number of concessions according to specialized infrastructure publications. Established in 2007, Globalvía manages 29 projects in seven countries, including highways, railways, hospitals and ports.
Aberdeen acquires Globalvía’s equity stake of the concession for the construction and operation of the reference hospital in the Balearic Islands. The hospital has 193,088 square meters of floor area, 987 beds and serves a population of more than one million people. The concession period is 32 years and the hospital has been fully operational since 2010.
