December 2017: Ambuibérica, a portfolio company of ProA Capital has completed its merger with EmerU, a portfolio company of Investindustrial. The resulting entity is the largest healthcare transportation operator in Southern Europe with undisputed leadership in Spain and relevant presence in the United Kingdom and Brazil.
In 2011, Ambuibérica was acquired by a consortium led by ProA Capital which has driven an important expansion plan in Spain and in Latin America via the award of new public and private contracts and the acquisitions of other ambulance operators.
In 2011, Investindustrial acquired Transport Sanitari de Catalunya and drove the expansion plan of the company in Spain and in the United Kingdom via new contract awards and the acquisitions of other ambulance operators. In 2013, the corporate umbrella brand EmerU was created to reflect the geographic diversification of the group.
