March 2018: Eurekakids, one of Europe’s largest distributors of educational toys has been acquired by Hape and Beleduc.
Founded in Gerona in 2002, Eurekakids is one of Europe’s largest educational toy retailer aimed at children (0-7 years), with a high brand recognition, innovative educational focus and orientation to family shared moments. Eurekakids has a leading position in its core retail markets in Spain (#1) and Italy (#2), and a growing presence in Latin America reaching a total network of 180 stores in 13 countries.
Hape, is one of the world’s largest producers of toys made from sustainable materials based in Germany. In 2017 Hape Group generated revenues of over €100m in over 50 countries. Beleduc, located in Germany, is a family business specialized in the creation, development and marketing of educational toys.
Eurekakids’ founders will continue leading the project increasing its share capital to 40%.
