October 2007: Parques Reunidos, the leading international leisure group headquartered in Madrid, Spain, acquires Palace Entertainment, USA, for €230 million.
Palace Entertainment is the largest owner and operator of waterparks and family entertainment centres in the US, with 33 parks and over 10 million annual visitors. Palace Entertainment is Parques Reunidos third acquisition since the buyout by Candover early this year following the acquisition of Grant Leisure in April and Bonbonland in July.
