October 2021 – Grupo BC sold to Silver Lake.
Grupo BC, the leading mortgage management, legal and digital services provider to the financial sector in Iberia and Latin America, has been acquired by Silver Lake, a leading global technology investment firm based in California (USA), together with Grupo BC’s founding shareholders and management team. With this acquisition, Silver Lake will support Grupo BC’s next development phase based on further growth and value creation.
In 2015, SOCIOS advised the shareholders of Grupo BC in the disposal of the group to funds advised by L-GAM, and since then has continued to work with Grupo BC on acquisition opportunities, including the acquisition of Lexer in April 2021.
SOCIOS has acted as the financial adviser to the shareholders of Grupo BC in the transaction.
