July 2013: Aegis Media, a UK-based leading global media agency group (part of the Japanese conglomerate, Dentsu) has completed the acquisition of Ymedia, a leading independent media agency based in Spain.
This acquisition will allow Aegis to significantly strengthen the market position of its Vizeum network brand. The founding shareholders of Ymedia will continue to lead the Company’s management, operating independently and ensuring that Ymedia’s identity and business philosophy is maintained. As part of the agreement, the Spanish operations of Vizeum will be integrated into Ymedia.
This transaction will enable Ymedia to continue consolidating its unique position within the Spanish media agency sector, whilst benefitting from the international support provided by the Aegis / Dentsu group.
